All…[insert your discrimination here]…

All…[insert your discrimination here]…

All unemployed men are either too stupid to get a job or too eager to get a government handout.

All overweight women are lazy and excuse happy over-eaters.

All models are vain, self-absorbed and yet completely insecure.

All teenage mothers are sluts and bound to raise dysfunctional children.

All wealthy people are greedy and only care about one thing.

All poor people are unlucky.

All Asian children are smart and especially good at math.

All fat kids are gluttons and don’t know how to pass on portion #2.

All Mom’s who want to do for themselves and live their dreams do so at the expense of their kids.

To be a “How Does She Do It Mom” you just can’t think in this negative, narrow-minded manner.

Abundance in life.

Faith and conviction in dreams.

Unbiased attitude towards everything.

The only thing you really do by believing in any sort of ‘all’ statement is limit yourself and your own opportunities.

Negativity begets lack.

Lack becomes victimization (and a stronger certainty in the ‘all’ statements).

Victimization brings nothing.

  1. Good one! The way you percieve many things in life says alot about you.

  2. “All kids like organized sports” – another myth.

Great post Carrie! I think that it is a lazy / safe choice people make when they choose generalizations as a rule. I think we also need to be more aware, and dig deeper into where those generalizations come from, how much truth there is (always at least a little).

Once we find the root, we attack the root to change people’s perceptions / attitudes (contrary to popular belief, this can be done)

  3. Everyone is an original work of art. God is an artist who doesn’t make copies. Thank you for your no stereotype type zone writing.

  4. Beautiful and so true!

  5. Kimberly Selby says:

I hate when people stereotype others. I have always lived by “It’s what’s on the inside of person what counts the most not the outside”. It’s just sad the alot of people fail to see this. Inner beauty is more important to me then the beauty on the outside.

You never judged me when we were in school and I want to thank you so much for that.
