Life, Love & Lemons…Episode #2

Life, Love & Lemons…Episode #2

Ohhhh those eyes....

There was an eerie quiet in the house all weekend.

You seldom recognize how much presence a person has until their aura is no longer part of your immediate surroundings.

The gentle and automatic coo that seems to emanate from Brian’s soul the second he opens his eyes in bed; greeting the day with his usual calm and optimistic outlook.

The way he exhales deeply and with purpose as his fingers graze over the keyboard while he writes poems every morning sitting in the recliner facing the kitchen window.

The dulcet tone of his voice as he softly talks himself through the impending tasks of his day.

His billowing and mesmeric laugh as he takes phone calls from business partners, colleagues and clients.

The low, relaxed and sexy way he articulates conversation with me after the gym, having just exhausted himself in training for his next fight.

The hardy welcome he excitedly extends to the kids when they walk in the door from a day spent at summer camp.

The tender smack of his lips and audible longing in his eyes… As if he hasn’t seen me for 3 days.

The smooth drag of his soft skin as it caresses over mine while we lay beside each other at night; another glorious day done.

The soothing and rhythmic cadence of his breath, transitioning from shallow and short to deep and long as he fades to sleep.

His contented murmur of familiar as I kiss his cheek goodnight after he’s already in serene slumber.

2 days down and an indefinite number left….

…. And it’s the little things I miss most.

The stuff we don’t typically pay near enough attention to.

Lesson learned.

Stay Sexy,

  1. OMG how beautiful the words you have just written down to describe the love of your life. I thank you for letting me into your thoughts and emotions – it is satisfying and calming and so beautiful. To be so connected with another human being is absolutely breath taking. To love a soul in such depth makes you appreciate how precious life is.

I agree with Linda. Beautiful words! It is so true how we don’t really notice the little things until we are missing them. Sometimes, even the things we may find a little annoying at times are missed! lol!

I hope he’ll be back soon so you can once again revel in the comfort and fulfillment he brings into your life. I can bet he is missing you just as much!

  3. Wow, those are two great post. Got me thinking about my wife and how I feel when I am away from her. Very heartfelt and from what you write you can tell he has the same feelings or you. Hope his journey is not long, so you can be together again.

Ok and normally I am a jackass so on that note,

Just think of how many 20 minute workouts you can do till he gets back.
Think of how many posts you can write on masturbating, or how many post you can do on good deals on clothes.

But seriously, this was a great piece and thanks for the peek in your soul. And he is one bad ass looking m-fer
